My Background

I am the son of Lilly Morgan Price, a Gullah Geeche woman from Charleston, South Carolina, and a Surinamese man from Paramaribo, Suriname, in South America. I was born in Harlem, New York, and completed junior high and high school in Yonkers, New York. I was an African American Studies major as an undergraduate at Northeastern University. I did my Master’s of Science in Community Economic Development at New Hampshire College Graduate School of Business, and a Master’s of Art and a Ph.D. in Leadership and Change from Antioch University Graduate School of Leadership in Change. My work is rooted in community engagement, social justice, and experiential learning about the political, cultural, social, and spiritual practices of the African, Africans in the diaspora, and Black worker experiences.
